This is the third book in the Gods of the Night series where a group of eleven men with the souls and shifting abilities of predator dinosaurs are led by Fin, an immortal with god-like abilities. Their goal is to prevent the destruction of humanity at the end of a cycle on December 21, 2012. His counterpart, tagged with the name Zero, believes it's time to shake things up by wiping out humans and letting the supernaturals take over. To that end, Zero has his own group of immortals recruiting supernaturals and causing chaos in major cities. Utah has the soul of an utahraptor and is paired up with Lia, a human in charge of a band of vampires after fighting for the position in the prior book. The daughter of vampires, she plans on becoming one, much to Utah's chagrin as he'd prefer to kill all of them. But Fin had seen millennia ago that Lia was needed to send one of Zero's minions back to the cosmos. The ultimate predator - can you possibly pick a more dangerous bad boy? The sexual tension is fantastic, and while you know the outcome will be good - it is a romance after all - elements of how they work out their issues and stop their target isn't obvious and makes a good story.
